Hi all. Been running this rig for some time now.......
GPU - MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3X OC
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
MOBO - MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WIFI
RAM - G.Skill RipJaws V 32GB, CL16-19-19-39 (F4-3600C16D-32GVKC)
SSD - Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB
PSU - Super Flower Leadex III Gold 850W
.......... I just received the following however:
Installed the GPU with no power. System powered on and stayed on.
Now comes the problem:
The GPU comes with a Power Adapter that converts 2 PCIE power cables from the PCU into a single 12 pin that goes into the GPU.
The moment however that I connect 2 cables into the adapter my system no longer powers up. This is regardless of whether the 12 pin end is connected to the installed GPU or not. If the two PCIE cables are coming out of the PSU but are not plugged into this "adapter" then everything is ok.
So I guess that this means there is only 2 possible issues.
Thanks all in advance!

- The PSU is not capable of this and is detecting the merging cable and is refusing to boot up.
- The merging cable/adapter itself is faulty.
Thanks all in advance!
