Super High Ping With Super Good Internet

I have super bad ping on all games like 300+ sometimes even 1000+ my internet is great not too sure what the deal is it has always been like this for some reason i can download 100+ gigs in about 30 mins so i dont know why my ping is so bad. Can anyone please help me its getting annoying. Im literally a 1 foot away from my modem and router.
Im using a wireless connection and my pc specs are
I7-6700k
16gb ram
gtx970

well try uninstalling and reinstalling network drivers or just updating it and restart your router

just so you know ping and download speeds are two different things and will not effect each other (well they do but to a tiny degree) ping is based on the time it takes to each a certain server.

do you know why i would have bad ping in all my games my friend and i have the same internet provider and service and he gets 20-50 ping on any server could it be my usb network adapter?

my friend and i live a block away from each other in Washington state and i have Charter Spectrum

a block?? and you friend gets a noticeably better ping? if so contact you isp provider for a solution
