I already bought a Super SmartJoy from before lik-sang.com was shut down by Sony. 🙁 It's an adapter that lets you use your original SNES controllers on your PC. It works great. : )
While I do like the colorful Super Famicom buttons, I do notice from the screenshot that they are all rounded. The US SNES controllers have dimples in the X and Y buttons, while the Super Famicom buttons are all rounded like the US A and B buttons, so their model might not feel exactly the same in your hands unless you've played a Super Famicom. I'm not complaining about it, just sharing my geekitude.
The only thing I might complain about is the price.. $30 isn't terrible, but I picked up a really great flight stick with throttle for the same price. RetroUSB was selling their own version of a USB adapter for SNES controllers ($22) but they are listed as "temporarily unavailable", and it's been that way for a while so I don't know if they still sell them.
And for those too young to remember, the SNES controller is indeed a great controller. If you're only going to own one controller, a PS2-clone or an xbox360 controller might be best. But if you really want to experience the old games you should eventually invest in an old controller or adapter. The only problem is that if you play too much you will wear your thumb away! But then, that's how we did it back then.
