Super strange power problems please help

So basically I bought a new graphics card from a friend but I needed a cord. I ordered a cord and it was the wrong one. So I went to put my old card back in and now my pic won't boot. I press the power and the fans and leds turn on for a second and power down. I asked a friend and he told me to just poke around and try to unplug and replug in things. I then got to the CPU power and when I unplugged it, out of curiosity I tried to boot, it worked for much longer around 5 seconds but then failed when the CPU was needed it kept trying until I turned off my psu. Then when I plug it back in it goes back to the one second failed boot. I'm not sure what the problem is if it's my mobo, CPU, or psu. Has anyone seen anything like this, if so any suggestions?

Your card is not properly seated in its place. Check it and fix it properly!
