I bought a ST Express Ram Cache drive back in 2012 and it failed within a month. I know the RMA drill and had it replaced, the new one lasted until March of last year. Bought a new one a few days later, which died in July and the replacement died last month (finally got the second replacement a few days ago). It's hard not to be a little paranoid, since I still have some much older Sandisk Cruzer drives that have been used just as heavily until they became dedicated OS installers. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed an unusually high failure rate for this brand or the Express RC family. Maybe it's just the nature of super fast flash media?

My first SSD was a 250gb Super Talent back in 2009. it cost $850~ au ($700 US at the time).
It died 10 months in and then the replacement lasted about 5 months. Granted SSD was in its infancy but from then only bought Intel, until Samsung 850 evo came along.

Sandisk is great for thumb drives and flash media. Only brand i buy.
Sandisk Ultra for general use & install keys. Sandisk Extremes for 185mb/s transfer speed.
