I want to raid0 2x samsung evo plus 500gb drives
Does my motherboard support it, asus rog strix Z390-i model

Why would you? You would gain almost no discernable difference in performance. And when one of your drives fail, you're probably not going to be able to boot anyway and will end up reinstalling your os anyway.

Raid 0 would only add complexity into your computer setup and not really give you a performance boost that is noticeable.

If you were going to do raid 1 maybe. But raid on a motherboard isn't the best idea.

Just do backups and be happy.

OK...
We've gone from 2x 500GB NVMe and RAID 0 to a 4 bay HDD NAS.
Completely different uses.

A NAS box, such as from Qnap or Synology is a whole system. Mostly, a small PC.
Feature rich, multiple built in applications. I have one. $400 plus drives.

A USB connected box depends on the host PC for all of its functions. I have one of these as well. $100 plus drives.

But neither can be done in 200 EUR if you want 4 drives.
