My brother-in-law has a system built from an NF7-M (that i put together for him a few months ago), and he wants to use that board for his girlfriend and upgrade to a NF7-S and buy a video card... with XP, how hard would that motherboard swap be? Would it be smooth without needing a fresh install? Saving myself time while working on other people's computers is the key here...

I went from an old revision A7N8X to a NF7-S, and had booted before I realized that I had forgot to go to the cd.
I would recommend removing the video in device manager, before you take the old board out .

Considering both version of the chipset have the same IDE controller, etc, it should work. Of course if you ran into a problem you could always do a repair install. Oh, and removing the onboard video from device manager wouldn't hurt.
