Is this possible or would it be a nightmare of a soldering job? I have an iPhone 6 128gb. Wanted to get my mom a cheap iPhone 5 but found a good deal on an iPhone 6s and it's only 64gb. Well now I want that 6s for myself, but don't want to give up my storage..

Right, so if someone wants more memory on the 6s, do the upgrade, no need to swap anything from another device. Only catch is that you have to be in China to do it, have not seen any other place that does this. I'm guessing it's cheaper to just get a larger storage 6s or just live with 64 gb, last time I priced a plane ticket to China is was a bit over $1,000.

There is some article about a place in China that does this. https://9to5mac.com/2016/02/03/iphone-flash-storage-upgrade-shenzhen/

They just copy the files on to a bigger flash card, not between iphones :bounce: You cannot swap the flash memory between iPhones. The flash memory is probably different between iPhones. Even if you managed to swap the cards, the iPhone won`t turn on because the CPU is different.
