Profanity, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is "an offensive word" or "offensive language".

As "offensive" generally is subjective, I'd just say best to avoid any/all

Profanity of any kind is verboten.

I would suggest that you improve your language skills to the point that such use is no longer necessary.

This is especially true if a person has been an absolute jerk on the forums. So say for example you've been turning anything against you into a personal attack, then you start swearing...that pretty much equals a permaban.

Just say no. We don't care if it enhances your comments or not. This is a family oriented web site and we do not allow offensive language here. If we catch it, we remove it. If you see it, we appreciate if you bring it to our attention so we can remove it. End of the day, just don't.

Trust me. It's not that hard to come up with safe, alternative descriptors. We moderators do it every minute, every hour, every day.

I do not uinderstand why you are trying to find some sort of loophole. It doesn't matter how you feel about it when you selected "I Agree" and created an account here at Toms Hardware Forum you agreed to the terms and that includes not using vulgar language.

I don't care if people swear but rules are rules, stop trying to skirt them and creating more drama than there needs to be.

"Can I do XX" "No." "OK Thanks". <- that is how it should work.
