Switch from windows 7 to Windows 10 eMachines problems

Got an offer from Microsoft to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on my eMachine laptop. It is a eMachine e525 - 26 32. I accepted the offer, went through the process to download Windows 10. After I downloaded the Windows 10 enter my computer back on and put in the password to get into my computer is it the screen came up after about 30 seconds just started flashing and won't stop flashing in the computer is completely locked up. WTF?

Maybe the win10 download corrupted, if you don't have the backup of the win7, you have to reinstall the win7 and try again.
