Switched PSU, PC doesnt boot.

I had a horrible power supply (generic one) so i decided to switch it to a VS550w (corsair)
I hooked everything up now i try to boot it and it boots for a milisecond then closes again.

please help me

ASUS H81M-A
8GB DDR3 value ram (dual channel)
No gpu yet. (Will upgrade to gtx 760 that was the reason behind the psu switch)


 
Have you checked your Front Panel connections on your Mobo? Maybe you have an issue with one of them? You can disconnect the Reset/HD LED/PWR LED/Audio connections and just use the Power BTN. Seen on page 1-19 on the USERS MANUAL.

Also double check that your CMOS Reset jumper is in the correct (page 1-11) pins 1-2.

Also you could remove your Mobo and hook it up outside the case (on non-conducting surface, i.e. cardboard) and see if you can get the system to boot up. This would eliminate the case from being the source from a possible short to ground.
 


ill take the pc to where i bought it they do on the spot checks
 
You can do that if that is comfortable for you. It is also possible that the CPU isn't seated into the socket correctly and is causing this issue too. It is up to you on what you want to do, but I have given you a few options that you can try yourself, if your up to the task and want to learn more about computers and your system.
