So I just swapped out my AMD FX-8150 and BIOSTAR TA-990FXE motherboard for an INTEL i5-4690K and ASUS Z97-A board.

I'm running Windows 10 and opted out of reinstalling windows after the swap. I installed the new chipset drivers and ran AMDs tool that is supposed to remove all AMD related drivers and files. I know it's recommended to do a full reinstall of Windows after such a hardware swap but so far everything seems OK.

Is there anything else I should look for or do to make sure the system is rid of all AMD drivers, and old drivers?

I would reinstall Windows but that would require re downloading a lot of my games and being on a limited bandwidth cap (yeah I know, it sucks), that could suck up a good portion of my 650GB allowance this far into the month.

Actually if you have 2 hard drives or an external you can dodge having to reinstall your games by placing them there temporarily and moving them after the reinstallation onto your primary drive and directing steam/origin/etc etc to the new directory your games are at.

One issue I am having after swapping boards and CPUS is that Windows will periodically disconnect my USB Wireless Adapter from the computer then infinitely loop thru a new hardware/disconnected hardware phase until I unplug it and plug it back in.

NOTE: It's not disconnecting me from my network, it's disconnecting the entire device from my computer.

I guess I could move them to my secondary 500GB drive that has nothing on it. Should I just move the Steamapps folder there or use its Backup and Restore feature built into steam?

Not sure about uPlay though.
