switching monitors causes crash

Just bought a new HP Pavilion desktop. I58400. Works fine. I put in a graphics card from my old computer. It did not function for multiple monitors and someone from this forum recommended to not use it if power supply was too small. It was in the computer no more than20 minutes. Every time I change monitors to troubleshoot, upon restart, the computer would not start. The power button would blink twice and pause then blink three times and repeat. When I do a hard restart, some repair lines come up and windows 10 starts and all is good. I removed the vid card. Now still using stock card it does the same thing every time I change monitors or change configuration to multiple monitors. After hard restart, everything works and restarts fine until I change monitors again. Should I return computer or is there a fix, or should I not worry about it. I did update video driver to no avail.

Returned and the replacement works fine
