Hi, I have a dell Inspiron 660 and a emachine el-2000 I have recently switched out the hard drive which no surprise to me didn't work I'm going to clear and put a fresh install of win 7 the reason of me doing this is because the dell is messed up it gives me the blue screen randomly I'm 14 so I sent it to like 2 computer places they didn't know what was wrong with it they put new parts (they are new stock parts except for the processer it now has a amd Athlon x4 ) and it didn't work so I'm trying to switch out parts can someone please look at the specs and try to tell me if some of the parts are compatible and can fit in the small little case so recap I'm trying to put parts from the dell to the emachine

actually that means you have 2 x2 gb and 1gb and 1gb in each slot

remove all ram sticks

put a 1 of the ram sticks in your pc it will boot with just 1

also check to make sure ram speed is same example all read 1333mhz and cl9 if 2 read 1333mhz and cl7 it wont work or 1333mhz and 800mhz wont work either all the ram must be same speed and cl

harddrive should be fine

optical drive should be compatible

cpu/motherboard or ram of the emachine not compatible with dell inspiron 660

blue screen is commonly caused by faulty ram remove ram sticks from inspiron 660 put 1 stick in if blue screens with both your ram is faulty if it blue screens with just 1 of the ram sticks remove that ram stick

There are 4 ram slots with 6 gigs of ram so each has 1 1/2 ram will my computer even run?
