Hi guys,

I've recently found out I have a problem with my MSI Motherboard, so I am switching to ASUS. I use an AMD Athlon 64-bit Processor and have a cheap Nvidia PCI-E Video Card.

The technician that looked at my computer recommended the following:

ASUS M2N4-SLI
+ (ASUS.com) http://www.asus.com/search.aspx?searchitem=1&searchkey=M2N4
+ (NEWEGG.com) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=ASUS+M2N4&x=0&y=0

ASUS M2N-E
+ (ASUS.com) http://www.asus.com/search.aspx?searchitem=1&searchkey=M2N-E
+ (NEWEGG.com) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=ASU+M2N-E&x=0&y=0

From the search results it also seems there's an SLI version of the M2N-E, although he did not specifically recommend that on the paper he gave me.

My budget is $100, and all three of the Motherboards above (M2N4-SLI, M2N-E, M2N-E SLI) are anywhere from $89.99 to $99.99, so I'd like to get the best of them, but don't know anything about Motherboards.

Any suggestions on which I should get and why? (The 'why' part is just so I can understand for my own learning, but doesn't need to be included.)

Thanks a bunch,
Shpongled

*heh* I ended up buying the wrong one -- ASUS M2N-E SLI. My processor is a 939, and the motherboard I bought had an AM2 slot, so my processor didn't fit into the motherboard.

Thanks anyway ..................................................
