Switching to Outlet Power

My boss has been leaving her laptop (Compaq Presario R3000) in her car overnight - we are in -10 weather and her battery is dead. There is a message saying to switch over to outlet power to avoid loosing her work; can anybody tell me how to do that?

heh, that's a normal windows message basically telling you to plug that machine into a wall socket or else lose your work because your battery is going dead.

Plug the machine into a wall socket and clear the message. Should be fine
