thanks, I got the ssd working, problem is the hdd cant be detected.Confirm that you can boot from the new drive when the old drive is disconnected.
Shut down.
Re-connect the old drive.
Boot the PC, which will be from the new drive
Open Windows Disk Management and locate the old drive in it.
Using menus in Disk Management, delete whatever partitions from the old drive that you want to get rid of...maybe all of the partitions if there is nothing on the old drive that you want to keep.
Make new partitions on the old drive as necessary...1 or more, whatever you want.
That's one method.
it works now, i just restarted the pc and did what you told. thanks thanks. the new ssd is nvme..Try a different SATA port.
Is the new drive an M.2 2280 NVME or a 2.5 inch SATA or what exactly?
Try a different SATA cable.
Can it be seen in the BIOS?
