Hi guys
Running a windows 10 amd ryxen 1600x.. 16gb ram
geforce 2070..it seems to be 5 year old system thereabout..
Im seeing the new amd ryZen 7 9800 is a cpu AND gpu.. ive been out of this field for a bit.. I know amd and intel were always kind of neck and neck..
I casually game..and use the computer for most every stuff..email web etc.. nothing too intensive except gaming..
Seems I can still run call of duty black ops 6 with pretty good performance..

power supply is 1200wat..

since im not a hardcore gamer,.. would the amd be a good best? is it any good? looking for like the nicelily loaded honda accord for a pc..
TIA!
Phi

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

You should elaborate on the etc, listing app's and if the build is meant for gaming, what other titles do you want to game with the PC and at what resolution/refresh rate.

It has an iGPU but it's meant for display out, not for gaming. Well maybe you could game on it but if the game is playable at those frame rates, is up for question.

For 9000 Ryzen you need at least new MB and RAM but depending on your MB you can make a great upgrade by installing Ryzen 5600x and up all the way to lets say 5700x3D or even 5800x3D, which would double or triple CPU performance.

What's wrong with your current system?
Why are you thinking about upgrades? Just because of system age?
