Hello, So I decided to turn on a computer that's been in my closet offline for almost 2 years. It's telling me that the system\drivers\isapnp\sys file is either missing or corrupt. I checked out what microsoft has to say. Seems fairly self explanatory except I can't get to this system setup so I can type in r for recover console. I've tried safe mode, which it basically runs all the drivers and then tells me the isapnp is bad and run from the windows setup disk and hit r. And then I've tried to hit f12 and run from option 4 which is the ide cd-rom drive to run the windows start up disk. Which it then puts up a blue screen telling me I should go to safe mode and hit f8 for advanced options. It's been forever since I did anything like this. So I'm quite rusty. Also the computer is a 2002 dell dimension 8250 which was at the time on sp 2 but the start up disk is sp1.
Any ideas.
Thanks
Steve
