System Idle Process Gone?

Ive been having issues lately with my cpu usage. I have an i7 4770k processor but lately cpu usage is hitting really high percentages for little applications like running google chrome and at the moment im lagging when playing games as the cpu usage is reaching 100% which is crazy.

Ive noticed my system idle process is no longer in the task manager so i think that has something to do with it.

Im gonna say im 95% certain i do not have any viruses/trojans/malware.

Any help would be great

The System Idle process is only present to indicate the unused percentage of your processor. If your processir is running at 100%, then it will not be there naturally.

Sort your processor usage from high to low and see what's eating your CPU cycles. Might be you got malware that's using your CPU in a DDoS attack on a sensitive government installation and the next knock on your door might be an armed SWAT team.

I understand that but what I mean is when i first turn on the computer and nothing is running it should be there but it isnt.

It's only there when you hit the "Show processes from all users"
