I would appreciate some opinions please!

Having a motherboard that can utilize RAM designated from PC 2100 through PC
3200 (using an AMD Athlon 3200+ processor), which of the following
configurations do you think would be better for video editing?

What about gaming?

1. 2-256 meg sticks of PC3200 RAM in dual configuration

2. 2-512 meg sticks of PC2100 RAM in dual configuration

Not trying to start a debate. I am hoping for answers from someone who may
have tried it both ways.

Thanks in advance!

#1 is faster but I would go for #2. Option #3 is best 2 512 sticks of 3200.

Always go with the fastest memory the motherboard can handle.

Also, 512 meg sticks are available in PC3200, so you should be using:

2 x 512 meg PC3200.
