System power 8 600w vs System power 9 600w

Solution
THose “Japanese” capacitors are still made in China. And capacitors are 1 of a thousand things that can determine quality.

Here is the problem with the internet. Some people don’t know what they’re saying, some are fanboys, some are really trying to help you and you don’t know who to trust. So you ask to see who you can trust more, which is what you’ve done.

The System Power 9 is better, and here is why:

It uses DC to DC technology instead of group regulated. Group regulation regulates the 5v and 12v rail together, so when there is an imbalance between those rails one of them will have loose voltages.

Since most modern computers primarily use the 12v rail like yours, and hardly any from the 5v rail it causes an imbalance which you...

Dude the be quiet system power 8 in my country is 50$ and the seasonic g series is 100$ the least expensive seasonic is 65$ - Seasonic SS-520GB BRONZE
What about cougar vte600
COOLERMASTER Elite V3 230V 600W
DeepCool DA600
i saw the last 2 here for first time

Why it is better i am not really into psu`s but isn`t its efficency less than the be quiet ones. And if i oc everything, won`t the 520 struggle.
If it is much more better i will get it but as i said the be quiet system power 8 is 15$ less expensive.
I will be grateful if u explain me why the seasonic is better:)

The Seasonic Power Supply uses higher quality components. Provides cleaner power to your components making them last longer. Imagine it as putting gas into your Car, low quality fuel will drop its performance. Seasonic Power Supplies are one of the best ones. And no, the 520W wont hold back your overclocks. The GPU will draw 120Watts at stock, and the CPU has a TDP of 65W. The whole system will draw about 250-300Watts in total, leaving plenty of room to overclock. The be quiet power supply is cheaper for a reason, because it is not as good as the Seasonic unit, its made of cheaper components. I don't think you would mind spending $15 more to ensure longevity of your parts.

That Seasonic 520 is hardly better than the System Power 9, if not worse! Because they're both group regulated so neither will provide clean power, and the Seasonic 520 has crappy protections.

Look for a Corsair CX or CXM (with a grey label), be Quiet! Pure Power 10 400w+, or Cooler Master Masterwatt 550

Damn 2 answers which are totally not similar. And I want to correct u about the tdp. Tdp is not how much wattage the CPU consumes. It shows that it needs a cooler with tdp of 65 or more. I saw a PSU tier list 5 minutes ago and I saw that the system power 9, system power 9 and the seasonic are in 1 tier. Maybe I should go for the system power 8 because prices are shit.

I hope im not too late, and you still read this op

https://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/be-quiet-pure-power-9-600w-psu-review/6/

its a good unit however , because of the lower quality capacitors and poor soldering. the unit will probably not as long as the warranty claims.

Its true that the seasonic s12ii lacks NEWER protections no OCP on any rail as well as no UVP on +12V under 750w.
however FOR WHAT IT HAS , are good quality materials and build on a solid desgin.

many units of the s12ii are solid and are still working (antec hcg is also a s12ii)

whats available for you op? I can help you look
for now grab the seasonic over the be quiet.

Both the Seasonic 520 and be quiets use Chinese made capacitors. Both are on a poor design that’s not recommended for use with modern gaming system including a GTX 1060.

Where are you buying from and what is your budget?

You didnt spot this? this is the M12II, better than the S12II, and the bequiet system power 8. Go for this one. Seasonic has one of the best PSUs and the M12II is one of the best budget power supplies. I Stand by my decision. Also, you can look at any article comparing Seasonic M12II with something like a be quiet system power 8 or a corsair cx550m etc. The people who have knowledge about power supplies always recommend seasonic for a reason.

But the only difference between m12II and s12II is that it is modular. There is nothing more

That Seasonic recommended is still the old design. Most knowledgeable people in the subject of power supplies, like those on the JonnyGURU forums will advise against it because the majority of time there is a much better, independently regulated power supply.

I apologise for my misinformation/confusion - The system Power 9 does actually use DC-DC and is a decent budget power supply. Better choice than both the Seasonic M12ii , S12ii and system power 8.
Here is a list (don’t worry about the prices) of generally decent power supplies following the ATX 2.4 spec which means independently regulated must be included.

Though for your budget the be Quiet! Pure Power 10 400 is a better choice.
That makes me wonder why are you looking for 600w PSUs in the first place? Your current build will be fine on a good 400w + PSU, and nearly all single GPU systems will be fine with 550w. Multi-GPU systems would require at least 750w.

Bcs this pc will be for more than 5 years or at least 10 years. The only thing i will upgrade will be the RAM and future high end video card. I know that the 600w are an overkill.
I have no idea for the 400w pure power 10. I think that the 400w will not be enough for the future..

Isn`t one 12v rails enough for that build?

So if i go with the 500w system power 9, i will not make mistake. The only thing i understand is that my location is near 17 hills/ mountains and there a lot of thunderstroms here and when i saw the Over Voltage, Undervoltage and over power protections, i said that this should be enough.
My father is electrician and i will make him learn how the PSU works. Jk

The datasheet here describes the max 12V capacity for each unit, which is what matters the most: https://www.bequiet.com/en/powersupply/1281

So the 500w System power 9 is practically a 456W PSU, while the 600w variant is a 576w unit. For overclocking with higher end GPUs (~250W TDP for example) the 600w variant would be the better.

The System Power 9 series includes many safety protections, though if thunderstorms are very common you might want to consider a UPS.

Unfortunately the System Power 9 is a fairly new PSU, so there aren't any reviews yet (I believe). I mistaked it for the Pure Power 9 in my earlier comments, when saying it was based off a poor platform.

what are you talking about?

seasonic s12iis dont use chinese capictors they use nippon chemicon capictors with are EXELLENT japanese capacitors

the build might be old but is really good !!, old doesn't mean bad.
