System powering on questions

as far as I can tell it only has one main power switch on it.

As for motherboard and RAM compatibility, the motherboard's specs should tell you the speed of DDR4 memory it can handle (Ex: DDR4 2400) and the rated voltage.
It can be helpful to input your parts into https://pcpartpicker.com/ . As its pretty good at spotting incompatible hardware.

And what is that red switch on the psu it has a v on it I assume its for volts but what the check is it and what's it for

Also this link this guy has a z-270 chipset like my motherboard but not the same model a z-270-a from asus I'm getting will it still work with my corsair ram? Look on my other post for what ram it is look at the newer ones it's the 8GB one.
