Hey all. So, today I launched up doom eternal about to finish of the beast of a level, but when I very slowly loaded into the game, stutters and framerate drops were occurring (I played the same level yesterday no problem). I hadent changed my settings, so I threw task manager on my other monitor, and would you look at that system process was hogging up all of my disk space! Any ideas on what this could be?

right-click > "Open file location" to see where it resides.
if just a regular Windows system process than it could just be a coincidence that it was happening as you were playing.
creating new System Restore points, other backups, writing to Page File, etc.

if it continues to happen try reinstalling the game.
if no help, troubleshoot within Windows;
SFC, Chkdisk, etc...

Its just a regular windows process, but it purposefully runs as I'm starting or playing the game. I will try your steps, but system process somehow needs disk usage as soon as I need it. Also, I just installed the game yesterday through the microsoft store, the one thing windows wants me to use yet it cant even keep it together.
