I have purchased a second hand HDD (600GB). I found some sectors were bad by using Partition Bad Disk software. However, i could not create partitions which are free of bad sectors as i've not purchased that software. I tried to delete partitions where that bad sectors are present.
Now, whenever i connect my HDD a pop up comes on the screen saying 'there is a problem with the drive N:' so, when i try to repair....
YOUR PC RAN INTO A PROBLEM... System is collecting information and will restart.
After restart, the details which caused the restart are as follows:

C:\Windows\Minidump\120913-42484-01.dmp
C:\users\xxxxx's\Appdata\local\temp\WER-563687-0.sysddata.xml
C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP

Solution
If the bad sectors were caused by a drop,it probably has parts of the damaged platter floating arround inside the closure of the hard drive.
This will continue to cause more bad sectors. There is no way to repair or recover.

One a hard drivestarts getting bad sectors it is on its way out. Whether it is from physical damage or age.
The bad sectors are not data on the partition, they are physical errors on the surface of the disk causing corruption of any data written there, think of them as scratches on a CD, deleting the partition and re-creating won't fix them, cause they are a physical defect. I would basically tell the person they sold you faulty equipment and ask for my money back.

Actually I'm not trying to not to read or write any data onto the partitions where the bad sectors are present... but, I've deleted those partitions which are affected.
And the situation here is i can't get money back.... 🙁
