Hello,

I'm thinking of restoring my PC to its original condition when I first
bought it, in order to clean it up. I know that I will have to reload a lot
of software, but that's OK.

According to the help pages, System Restore should keep a restore point for
this, but when I run the restore wizard I find I can't look backwards on the
calendar beyond 1st August? I have the disk space settings at maximum (12%)
, am I missing something?

Thanks

KK

System Restore will not revert your computer to the factory state for that
you need to do a clean install (Reformat)

Restore will not go back to its original state when you purchased it. It
will go
back no further than 90 days. To restore your PC to its original state you
will
need to do a clean install of XP by inserting your XP CD and formatting your
"C" drive and do a clean install. Make sure you have copied all your personal
files and data to a CD before doing this for all programs and personal data
will
be deleted. Prepare for a full day or maybe two.
