Not sure if the is more of a question or discusion...
Hardware
Gigabyte Aorus elite x570 (updated BOIs last year)
Ryzen 5800x
G.Skill trident z 32gb
Tuf Gaming 3080
EDIT --- 1000w Seasonic V3 GX-1000 80+ gold PSU (bought new with GPU) ---
Tp-link AXE5400 PCIe WiFi/Bluetooth card........
the system was in this configuration for a long time with no issues what so ever...
I took out the TP-Link card to let my nephew use it in his system for a month. Then I re-installed the card in my PC and after a few days while playing a game, my computer started the shut down process on its own. I was hitting ALT+TAB a LOT trying to compare something in game to a browser tab... so i thought maybe i hit some secret combo that shuts the PC down... So I booted back up, and a few minutes later. AGAIN! shutting down.. as if someone was pressing the shut down button in windows.
If the PC was on for long enough to open programs, i could hit the cancel option in the "these programs are keeping windows from shutting down" pop up.
I went on to start diagnosing the issue, so i jiggled all the cables and components. reset BIOs by taking out the battery... but what ended up at least seeming to fix the issue was taking out the TP-link card...
Ive tried searching for the issue online, but none of them mention that it goes through the shut down process. just that the computer shuts off.
No error messages or codes that i know of. i didn't have HWMonitor installed at the time so couldnt get a temp measurement.
i guess the real question is, does this happen? is this normal with a hardware issue? If i reinstall the TP-link card will it continue to happen?
I never post these kinds of HELP ME posts, so im unsure of what diag info might be needed.
As it stands, the PC is on (making this post) and hasnt had the issue since yesterday when it started.
