Mobo is MSi x79A-GD45 Plus Socket 2011 with I7 3820 CPU Quad running stock with DRAM settings at Auto. No overclocking.
It's another persons computer. At first I thought it was just one of the fans that I found was dead and replaced. And the computer has got to be the filthiest I've ever came across. Caked with fine white dust. Used special vacuum for computers and cleaned entire machine. Took a couple of hours.
Changed video card to GTX960, and changed out PSu to OCZ 700W ModXStream-Pro modular.
Pulled CPU and applied new Thermal paste.
Computer will run for some time then will shut down. After 1st shutdown, most often computer will shut down sooner on reboot.

I here a click, so I have a feeling that it's heating sensor issue.
Bios shows CPU at 84C steady, and everything else looks normal.

My thought is the CPU self contained Liquid Cooler is dying. It's a Seidon by Cooler Master.

Any one know what's the life expectancy of Liquid Cooled CPU units. I've never used Liquid Cooling

New issue after removing RAM is that now the machine will only accept 2 modules in Dimm 1 & Dimm 3. When I try to follow the manual and load in Dimm 5 & Dimm 7 I can't boot to bios, and the machine will start and reboot continuously in a loop until I kill the power.

Mobo and CPU are old enough that I'm thinking of just telling client good time to upgrade.
Any thoughts ??

84C for the CPU is melting hot! If it shuts down after a while then it's probably heat (computer shuts itself down if CPU exceeds certain temp). Liquid Cooler should keep your CPU at idle around 30-40 and 60-70 under full prime95 load. Put your hand on the CPU tubes you should feel a the vibration if the pump is running. Did you plug the pump back in? Are the fans running on the rad?

The ram can be a number of things, you should do some memory tests get a pass then use those slots to verify other ram.

Oops, Probably 84F. I wasn't thinking correctly. Getting over cold. Light Headed.
I'll check the tubes. The fan is running on the radiator, but not that fast.
I've swamped out the ram, and both pairs work in the first channel. But when trying to add to 2nd channel I get the issue of no bios posting and the start and stop of boot.
