Hello guys,

im kindly asking for help with chossing SYSTEM SSD, which will work with my motherboard ASUS Maximus VII https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_HERO/

At the moment my system disk is Corsair Force LS SSD (SSD) 120 GB, which i want to replace for some 250 GB version (as SSD got really cheap).

There is M.2 slot on my board and i dont know, if its better than regular SATA 3. So question is, if i should get M.2 (not the PCI-E which is normally for grapics card/soundcard etc usage) or "normal" 2.5" SSD disk. Also if you can give me some advice on some of those 250 GB SSDs i could use as system disk.

Are there major differeces of which M.2 will work on my motherboard? I see some M.2 SSDs can do some crazy speeds, but as my motherboard ancient, they will probably NOT support them.

Thanks a lot in advice
