Dear all,

I recently upgraded my GPU from a Readon 7850 HD to a R9 390 G1 (Gigabyte Radeon R9 390 G1 Gaming Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16)
I did realise that I can push the quality settings on most games a little more up but not as much as expected.
Now I fear that my system is creating a bottleneck for the GPU the rest is:

Intel Core I7-3770 @3.40Ghz - 3.90Ghz
16 GB Ram
Windows 10
and a 550 watt power supply

so now im wondering why I have the feeling that my GPU is bottlenecked

It was just today that i had them both installed into my rig, to test games side to side.
Arma 3 on a Multiplayer match inside a town i got around 39-42 with the 7850 HD, with the R390 i dont even get close to 30.

Or did i simply buy a wrong GPU

best wishes

Solution
You need a 650-850 top tier PSU. Check you CPU % and GPU % and MHz while gaming. The GPU may not be running at max MHz if their is a bottleneck or low power.

A 550W Be quiet

I dont get any issues regarding PSU that the machine shuts down or anything like that

And sorry didnt actually mean to set it as solution problem still persists
