I built a system and I am already experiencing an annoying problem. The system freezes upon starting Windows 7. My system has 2 user accounts. Sometime, the system freezes before I have the chance to click on a user account or the system freezes after I chose my user account. I noticed that it only happens when the system is turned off for a long period of time or is being started in a cold environment. For example, after using the system and turning it off for the night the system freezes upon startup in the morning. After 1 or 2 restarts, the system boots normally. It doesn't freeze when the system is warmed up. As part of the troubleshooting step, I replaced the motherboard, power supply, reseated the CPU, and the boot drive. The system is currently not overclocked. What is the problem here?

Specs:
i5-3570K cooled by Cooler Master 120V
Corsair Vengeance 8GB
AsRock Z77 Fatal1ty Professional
MSI Geforce GTX 760
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB

I still experience the freezing problem. The problem only occur in a cold environment and/or when the system is off for a while. When the system starts, it freezes on the Windows 7 welcome screen. After a restart or 2, the system works fine. I've replaced the motherboard for the 3rd time already so I wouldn't blame that component immediately. I changed the boot drive to see whether it is the OS that is corrupt but the results were the same. CPU seems to be working fine since there are no error codes from the motherboard. The power supply is not defective because I used the paper clip test and nothing was wrong. I ran Memtest and it found no memory errors. No components in the system are overclocked. I do not think the problems lie on the graphics card, hard drive, memory or CPU. I believe it's between the motherboard and the case. This model motherboard used to be in my main system, but the freezing in a cold environment issue irritated me so much that I changed the motherboard and the case completely. Now the system with the new motherboard and case are running very well.
