CPU: Intel Core i3-7100
When I place the ram into the machine it will not boot. It only boots after I remove the ram. I was under the impression that it would still run despite being 3000mhz, but it would only run at 2400mhz.
Can someone explain to me why the system won't boot with this ram and what I kind of ram I should be looking for?
Edit: Ram works in slot 1 but not slot 2. Does that mean it's dead or is there something else I can do? The rgb ram does light up when it's in the second slot though.
