Hi, I've been dealing with an issue for a costumer in my repair shop regarding a Ryzen 3 2200G and a Asrock B450M Steel Legend.

Mainly the problem is with this configuration:

Motherboard: AsRock B450M Steel Legend
CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU: AMD Elsa RX 580 2048sp 8GB
RAM: 2 x 8GB 2133Mhz
Storage: 500GB NV2 SSD + 480GB Goldenfir SSD
PSU: Redragon RGPS-500 500W 80 Plus Bronze PFC

It does not POST. However, when you change the CPU for a Ryzen 5 2600, the computer POSTs normally.

So far It'd look like a problem on the CPU but when it's installed like this configuration:

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M K-CF
CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU: AMD Mougol RX 580 2048sp 8GB
RAM: 2 x 8GB 3200Mhz
Storage: Kingston NV3 1TB SSD + Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650W 80 Plus Bronze PFC

The CPU posts normally, only showing some errors due to fTPM but changing it's settings in the BIOS lets it Boot normally to Windows and outside of that, no problems related to heating and such.

So, I have tried everything, interchanging all possible components combinations, resetting the BIOS config, turning off fTPM on the BIOS, updating the ASrock BIOS from P2.90 to P10.30 testing another CPU (although not a realiable one, the A10-9700), running the motherboard outside the case, all to no avail, Still it doesn't POST, only with the Ryzen 5 2600.

Attached HERE is a video link to its behavior.

The motherboard in question being this motherboard?

https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B450M Steel Legend.pdf

I am not convinced that that motherboard supports the Ryzen 3 2200G.

In any case, I will thus defer to those with deeper knowledge of such things.

Details matter.
Hi Ralston, how are you?

You see, the motherboard you linked it is correct, however I see that on your first reference, it's checked on the compatibility of the Ryzen 3 1200G, which is not the processor I'm having issues with, on this link, you'll see on the Asrock site that the 2200G is compatible with this motherboard. On your second reference, I could not confirm that you selected the 1200G, since it didnt save your search result, but I believe it was the same misunderstanding!

Thank you so Much for replying though! Good Morning!
