Scroll down to the bottom of the image and you'll see that PBase display
advanced information about the picture that have EXIF:

"Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel ,Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
1/125s f/11.0 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif"

So it's a Canon 300D + Canon 28-135 zoom... :)

Couldn't be bothered to look it up - didn't you get your voiture nicked and
replaced it with a Golf GTI or something?

Anyway, even though you advocate cheating it's good to see you back (or

Film cameras can never match the convenience of digital cameras. Digital
cameras cannot (yet) match the quality of film cameras.

At what resolution would digital converge with film as far as quality?
I doubt that I would be able to tell you the difference between an 8MP
image and one taken on film. But I don't have a trained eye for that
sort of thing.

Is there something in there? I'm not that good with binary, but I do well
with hexadecimal, and have used octal in the past.

I got this blanket for my geeky sister for xmas:

Her cat has appropriated it, though.

That can be compensated for by doubling the area of the CCD, sacrificing
the same portability. Or mosaic the image, at the cost of exposure time.

In electronics and audio that's called dynamic range.

Anybody know how luminence is represented/measured in a CCD? I thought they
were strictly digital beasts and flipped from 0 to 1 when a threshold
amount of light impacted on a CCD cell. So measuring luminence would be
done by counting how much time it takes for the cell to flip. But I'm
probably wrong.

The car that I got after the previous one took a trip to either north africa
or eastern europe is a Peugeot 307 XSi HDI. Diesel engine with impressive
mileage and diesel particles filter.

> Anyway, even though you advocate cheating it's good to see you back (or

Let me replace this once AGAIN. When I'm on a server:
- where Mortar cheating is OK.
- unbalanced by number and quality. (boatloads of headless lemmings)

I tend to do my best to my best to "balance" the game. The solutions that I
chose one was to use the missile cheat:
1/ lock on target jetpack
2/ fire the missile
3/ use Debig script that plays a random animation
4/ press the forward key
5/ loop to 2 until required

Thanksfully the server patched this issue a while ago, implemented team
shuffling at map change... so now when the game is unbalanced in an obvious
way... I get my "Light annoyance" gear: light/energy
pack/blaster/shocklance/sniper rifle. I piss the whole enemy team...

Judging by the action shots, that's quite a common phenomenon. Hmmm,
why are cats attracted to binary? Is there some deeper intellect than
we normally attribute to them? Perhaps purring is another form of
binary communication.

Are cats like the White Mice in Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's series?

Our chief weapon is SURPRISE! Surprise and fear.
Our TWO weapons are fear and surprise... and ruthless efficiency.
Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency and an
almost fanatical devotion to the Pope!
Our four... no...
Amongst our weaponry are such elements as fear, surprise...

I'll come in again.

Speaking of that, I saw on the news a just the other day that there is
a medical case study showing that teenagers are incapable of sound
driving decisions. The study, in an attempt to parallel the dangers of
a distracted teen behind the wheel, equated a kid on a cellphone as
dangerous as a driver with blood alcohol at just over .08, which is
considered DWI in most states and, hence, illegal.

There's a part of the brain, they claim, that doesn't mature until the
early 20's and is the seat of calculated decision making.

So, I wonder how dangerous a 16 year-old is with a few beers in him on
a cell behind the wheel? "I'm invincible!"

I don't know, but their bloody brilliant about shipping stuff within
the continental United States. I had a poster shipped to a jobsite I
was on. Let me find the URL for it....

http://tinyurl.com/49mwz

The management was forever calling rediculously useless meetings. So a
couple of fellow scofflaws and I chipped in for this one. Which was
perfect, because the place is littered with those stupid "motivational
posters" anyway. And it took management forever to notice one more.

But they're not cheap at $15 / £7.97 a pop plus shipping.

I wanted to get the "Consulting" one too. As it is so very
appropriate.

Say, you wouldn't know where a Yank like myself could acquire, either
a Region 1 encoded NTSC or PAL DVD collection of Porridge, the Ronnie
Barker sitcom. Or even a VHS PAL or NTSC version of said collection?

It's my Father-in-Law's wedding anniversary next week, and I was
hoping to present him some Porridge; as he is a huge Ronnie Barker
fan. (As in his fanaticism is huge and not to imply that my
father-in-law is huge, or indeed, that his admiration of Ronnie Barker
increases with Mr. Barker's girth.)
