This looks like an excellent product! This is clearly marketed towards companies that need the superb portability/mobility from a tablet that even a notebook system lacks. The price isn't an issue to the market this is targeting. The medical industry should eat this up. A large hospital environment can run native apps within a managed domain and still maintain hipaa compliance. A petroleum company could utilize this in the field to process geological survey data on the spot. Performance + portability = win.

I dont understand the iPad comparisons though. The iPad is a novelty for email and web browsing; this thing is designed to get hammered on a daily basis in a real work environment.

To people complaining about video, or 3G, or price, this thing is for PROFESSIONALS. It's even marketed to health care! Not for the average user, IMO.

[citation][nom]RipperjackAU[/nom]"rouches", that's asian for touches. Damn the no edit function!![/citation]

asians can say their "t's" just not their "l's" and for koreans its their "f's"

It will surely be cool for scientists and military personnel wanting to carry a tablet that can actually DO something around in harsh environments. Personally I'd rather go for a convertible with mil spec if I had a need.

I like the comment from the guy who said the ipad was better and more functional. Well, I guess in the same sense that you might consider a cheapie "smartcar" better than say a McLaren F1... Thanks for the chuckle, DjEaZy - I needed it!

LOL I love the Apple fanbois talking about the iPad as if it's even in the same league, as if getting 4 times nothing is something.

Sure, I would prefer a Lenovo tablet to this, but it because I don't need the durability it offers, I have 2 Toughbook tablets at work, and they aren't cheap either, and only one of thos is mild MilSpec (IP 54 [dust , scratches, driving rain]), we had an old Grid which was higher rated.

My personal ASUS is better than an iPad and earlier, why do people keep comparing device to an iPad which is really just a Crunchpad rip-off? :pfff:

Comparing this tough and very powerful tablet from Motion to an iPad is like comparing a MacBook Air to a Netbook..... except a Netbook can do more than an Air in that equation for less than 1/5 the price. :kaola:

[citation][nom]guid_aaa000001[/nom]I would have thought of purchasing this if only they had a AMD Processor option in it.[/citation]
Even though there isn't an AMD processor that comes within a country mile of a Core i7? Tell you what, i'll fix your comment for you
[citation][nom]guid_aaa000001[/nom]I would have thought of purchasing this if only they had a much slower processor option in it.[/citation]
There you go, much better...
