Master...

Though what if i don't use a smartphone because i really don't need one? But hell, i know what the damn thing is. Same thing applies for Wifi, i know it's a b/g setup, but there's no option for that, had to tick that isp thing.

One thing. Is friendster like really, really old? never friggin' heard of it....

By the way your Toms Logo at the left has very squeezed quality.
You can see it mostly in red colors. Change that in a bitmap helps. This JPEG quality sucks :)

.
.

& I don't have a Facebook account if you mind that too....

hey ! don't you think you require waaaaaaay too much personal infos ? name, gender, networks, friends, ... don't you really require my car's engine number, my shoe size and the number of toilet papers that i bought yesterday ?? how about some with privacy ??

Yeah, I was never going to make Grandmster with my wireless network being generic rubbish, I suppose the 1280 feet of CAT6 cable I fed round the house counts for nothing. My wifi is used for my smartphone, network printers and netbook when i'm sat in the garden. For everything else there is the 24 port gigabit switch in the attic.

You exist at the pinnacle of hardware knowledge and swim in an ocean of circuitry. Well done, you incredibly brilliant person, you!

I feel kind of ill now Markus.

I knew there was a reason why I stay away from facebook ...

:)

I done the quiz, but when I had to log into facebook I decided not to make an account & I left straight away. The reason why is because I had to give too much personal information up. I guess the same reason as t85us had.

Really??? Why is TOM'S pushing Facebook profiling crap, First I read articles telling me not to give out too much info... then I read this fluff, come on, is Tom's getting a slice of the pie when the info gets sold?

Grandmaster :).

"Number of computers in the house?" reminds me of two questions from the jsc "You might be a geek if ..." Test.
(apologies to Jeff Foxworthy)

If you have more computers in the house than people, you might be a geek.
If you have a home network and you live alone, ... .

What i found strange is that there are so many comments that "i had to log in to fb to take the quiz". I didn't have to, and i think that's how the quiz was intended to be.

I was gonna do the quiz, but then I saw the word facebook. I flatly refuse to touch/do anything that connects itself to facebook/twitter.
Sorry toms no answers from me.

Oh..., yes I have a Facebook account. I can do this easily :)

What ever the top title would be I knew I wasn't going to make it. Anyway I don't feel like I am a "Master" either. I don't consider myself computer savvy, but I can do some research on the internet and follow procedures. I have done some next steps like building my PCs, make some connections or be adventurous and sometimes try new things or devices. The only thing that could make me a real power user is a relative knowledge and experience on 2D and 3D professional graphics. But it was fun and thanks Tom's.

when i saw the wireless question i thought where the option i don't use slow wireless, my whole house is filled with ethernet cables and im running at 1Gbit switch and router

I don't even have a facebook (for obvious reasons) and I got my results just fine. So yeah, I don't get what all these people are whining about - they obviously scored below 'Master' though, haha.
