Take windows off HD

Hello I have 2 hard drives and I use my 1tb as my main one has windows 7 but I had an old hd from anouther computer that has windows vista on it I was able to connect tk my new computer and delete all the files except for the windows files they seem to be undeleteable is there a way to take vista off that hat drive

Since you want to delete all the files on the drive try reformatting it. Go to "computer management" then "disk management" and right click the drive in question and select "format".

If you really want to wipe the HDD (as in, restore it to factory state) you can use Killdisk on it. Then, a quick format into whatever filesystem you prefer will make it usable again.

If for some reason you can't format the drive, go into the windows folder permissions and set "full control", "read", & "write" permissions for user "everyone". Apply the settings, then try to delete it.
