[SOLVED] task manager has been disabled by your administrator

i dont know how this happened but im sure that no one messed with my pc. i tried the regedit fix but still nothing. anyone knows how to fix this?

I have windows 10 version 1909. no big updates nothing new downloaded. it just happened. turned off my pc last night with no problems, just noticed it when i tried to close some app and i cant select the task manager

Reboot again.
I've seen that happen after a Windows update.

still not fixed. im hesitant to do this so im gonna ask if its safe to delete the disableTaskmgr.reg in the registry and make a new one?

Never edit the reg unless you already know what that specific edit will do.

its kinda annoying not having task manager to close unresponsive apps but i can cope with it and maybe it'll go away on its own ahahahah

To Anyone having this issue I found a fix. just follow these

Go to Run and type gpedit.msc and click on Ok.
Once entering the Local Group Policy Editor expand the Administrative Templates folder under User Configuration from left.
Now expand the System folder and click on the Ctrl+Alt+Del Options folder.
Now double click on Remove Task Manager.
Once the Remove Task Manager window will open, click on Enabled and Apply then click on Disabled and Apply, then click on OK.

Works for me
