Hi All,

I got a mail with some attachment from one of my colleagues, and I
could recognise it was nasty only when I ran the exe in the
attachment.

The attachment was shaking the active window. I tried to kill the exe
by opening the task manager. I managed to kill that nasty exe. But,
I ended up in a corrupted task manager.

After these, when I open my task manager, it would look as shown in
the following link. I am giving a URL because, newsgroups are not
meant for attachments with images, etc.

http://www.angelfire.com/indie/vijayk/images/taskmgr.jpg

I thought may be restarting the machine would settle the matter. But,
no use.
I tried searching newsgroups if re-installing taskmgr.exe will help me
or not. So far I copied taskmgr.exe from another machine. But, it
didn't help me and taskmgr still looks the same corrupted way.

Could any of you help me how can I get away with this problem.

Thanks,
Vijay

This is the 'small footprint' mode. Double-click in the grey window
border to fix your Task Manager.
