Task Manager is not working

I am using windows 8.1 on ASUS laptop. My task manager is not working from last 3 days. It's only showing a still image of processes .

Actually, Update speed of task manager is in 'paused' state, so it doesn't refreshing any thing. After changing to 'Normal' state, it's works perfectly.
