Taskbar stays highlighted even if mouse isn't on the icon!

Hello, a few days ago I believe I installed some updates, since then when I hover over a icon it stays highlighted and its incredibly annoying. I have tried right click and shift+right click, it doesn't help, don't know what to do. -Toxiic

Since you mentioned that the issue cropped up after a Windows Update took place, have you tried restoring your system to a point prior to update?

Back up your content/critical data on your OS's partition should something go wrong.

Ah yes, restarted PC, defraged hard drive, and it worked no problems since then.
