tdp cpu problem

hey, I have to change my motherboard since my old asus m5a88-v evo died, so i bought a little budget m5a78l-m for my phenom 2 x6 1100t, but my cpu tdp is 125w max, and my mobo is 95w max (I recognized this only after purchasing the stuff), then I have to press f1 on every system startup and I guess it's not the bios release

so my question is, I have seen a phenom x6 with 95w tdp and a vcore of 1.2 instead of 1.3, and here is my question, if I make a downgrade on my cpu vcore it will reduce the chance of burn the slot and other problems? what can I do?

CPU's TDP is nothing to do with MB's wattage. Is it a compatible MB for your CPU? Did you repair-install OS after the new MB installed. If not do a repair-install or clean install of OS. Check the CMOS battery. A CMOS can be dead on a new MB.

I guess you understood me wrong, my motherboard tdp is 95w, that's why my cpu is not on the qvl list, because his thermal design power is 125w, but the pc boot fine, Im not pushing the cpu with games and I made a underclock to 2.9ghz, Im just keeping this until I save money to buy a 125w tdp motherboard, but I want clues of how to avoid motherboard burns, also it's a pretty cheap mobo but have coolers on the mosfets and have a bit of quality on the resto of the components

Your best bet is to buy a compatible MB as soon as possible. Down clocking the CPU won't save you.

Yes this MB can handle the CPU and GPU perfectly. Here is a list of supported CPU.

And yes avoid using the machine or it could damage other components too.

my system still running... I used max power saving from asus epu, and the processor core are in 20c temp, and 68.85w power package, only next month I will can buy a new mobo, a friend said me to buy a processor less power hungry, but it's the same price or less than this related mobo, also this friend said to me that my processor is too extreme because I used this machine just for fun, but with my old m5a88m-evo mobo was instantly fast, once I used one I just cant handle anything slower... you know what I mean? xD

yeah, this month is impossible to buy a new mobo, but this is a common problem, I saw lot of people in the internet talking about it, using windows power management and epu max power saving and then monitoring the mobo with some mobo monitor software can stick the low price mobo forward while I save money for a new one..
