Question Tell me what you think - before the buy and build...

Feb 17, 2019
Tell me what you think of putting these components as a springboard system, to eventually swap for better/faster etc. new components?

The system will mostly be used for surfing, Photoshop work and light gaming. Very importantly, I'm on a tight budget with not too much now. I figure to spend just over £200 without an OS. Can't be done? Take a look!!

Christmas Day is my build point!!

Case: Carbide Series 100R Silent Edition Mid-Tower PC - Black, bought for £30 (used)
PSU: Aerocool Integrator 500W, £32.99 at Amazon
CPU: Intel Celeron G5900, £38.98 at Amazon
Storage: Silicon Power PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD 256GB Gen3x4 R/W up to 2, 100/1, 200MB/s Internal SSD, £31.99 at Amazon
Memory: Crucial CT8G4DFS8266 8 GB (DDR4, 2666 MT/s, PC4-21300, Single Rank x8, DIMM, 288-Pin) Memory, £27.59 at Amazon
Motherboard: MSI B460M-A PRO Intel socket 1200 Motherboard, £61.33 at CCL

Total £222.88 (including the case)

That PSU is garbage, you should definitely pay more money for a better supply. Get something like a Seasonic Focus or a EVGA BQ or a Corsair CXM. I know those are not the most ideal supplies but they're definitely better than the chosen one.

Bit better on Quality as well as Performance. 2C/4T Minimum in 2020.

But seriously. Don't waste money on this. Either save lot more and get decent Build which would last you for long time. Or Purchase a Laptop for around that budget and use it for as long as it lasts.
