I used the thermal paste that came with my new AIO to make sure my new setup posted. All good. I also went ahead and bought top quality thermal paste for mounting in the case. But I got lazy and just went ahead and got everything set up without repasting. So my question is if it’s worth repasting with the good thermal paste? What’s the temperature difference likely to be?

I would leave it as it is. If your AIO and build get's dusty, you can use the tear down as an excuse to repaste the AIO's cooling block.

You generically stated the other thermal paste as top quality for the sake of clarity, what is the make and model of the thermal paste? KingPin's KPx?

Do not think a couple degrees different in temperature directly relates to a performance increase.

Does you cpu ever hit the thermal limit and drop the clock rates. hwinfo64 actually has a line that tells you if it is throttling.

It really doesn't matter if you are 10 degrees below the thermal limit or 5 degrees it will run the same clock speed. If you are say just 1 degree below the limit it might be worth it because it might throttle for extremely small times that the monitor tools do not pick up.

I suspect with a 360 radiator and your cpu you are nowhere even close to the limit.
