Temperature in monitor sharp tv

After about an hour of watching a blinking warning sign appears on the screen - "Temperature in monitor" and a few minutes later the tv turns itself off.

What is wrong with our tv? And can it be repaired?

Be more specific. Is your TV near anything hot? What's the room temperature? Do you smell anything burning or the like?
