My CPU typically runs at about 71 degrees while working all day . is this too hot?

something to be worried about, or is that acceptable ?

idle temp, or just using it for something simple like this site is 35 degrees

The quick general answer to your questions is that I don't see any problems.

However, since temperatures vary widely with differences in environmental conditions, hardware configurations and software workloads, it's important that you share the details with us.

So when posting threads on our Forums, you can better help us to give you the most accurate information by always providing full system specifications such as:

AMD or Intel ? (thermal spec's vary)
Which CPU model ?
Ambient room temperature ?
CPU cooler ?
Motherboard ?
Case model ?
Intake / exhaust fans ?
Graphics card ?

Once again, welcome aboard!

Yuuup.... its pretty high.
35° is pretty decent, depends on the cooler tho. If it is with the stock cooler, youre all good!

Buuuuut.... 71° at load is high, very high. If youre using an stock cooler, its kinda normal. But, also depends on the ventilation of the case.

Also, are you using an laptop? If youre using one, it is highly reccomended to clean it of dust and maybe get an laptop cooler.

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your feedback :)

it is an HP Omen tower, everything stock, no amendments.
I am a computer illiterate, if I remove the glass side, could that help a bit ?
however, I wouldn't want everything to become dusty in there.

someone mentioned some type of product (arctic silver)
I could put apply?

do you have a link for that procedure I could look into ?

would it be worth the effort ?

thank you again

:))
