Temps after Paste change CPU

so i have a i5 4690 and before chaning paste i had 67 degrees on dark souls 3 after i changed paste and cleaned my stock cooler im getting 55-56 degrees on 80% usage are those temps alright now? also i applied about that amount of paste is it okay?

Thats fine and those temps are excellent.

Any drop in temperature after you apply new thermal paste is good news.
The rest of the factor as to how hot the cpu reaches have to do with the air cooler you are using and how good the fan on it is at pushing air.

You should expect a ten to twelve degrees drop in temperature after you have applied new thermal paste.

So yes it looks good.

Cooler is always better. Looks like you put about the right amount of paste on there too. If you think you are still running warm, which you kind of are, you can get an aftermarket cooler and slap on there and it will be much better than the stock one. I run the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on my PCs and they work great plus they are cheap. Hope this helps.
