Cooler is always better. Looks like you put about the right amount of paste on there too. If you think you are still running warm, which you kind of are, you can get an aftermarket cooler and slap on there and it will be much better than the stock one. I run the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO on my PCs and they work great plus they are cheap. Hope this helps.
Any drop in temperature after you apply new thermal paste is good news.
The rest of the factor as to how hot the cpu reaches have to do with the air cooler you are using and how good the fan on it is at pushing air.

You should expect a ten to twelve degrees drop in temperature after you have applied new thermal paste.

So yes it looks good.
