[SOLVED] Terrible mic echoing from all of my headsets

I've had this annoying issue for a while now where all of my headsets with a mic will echo audio from the computer directly back into the mic. It's a clear, 1 on 1 equal of what I hear that's being outputted through the mic, as if it's being set to play back through mic. Interestingly enough, a voice in discord wont echo back if I'm in call, but the game I'm playing along with any other system noises will, so I know it isn't the microphone literally picking up the audio from the headphones. However, being in a voice call in game WILL echo audio from discord. I have found no help for this, and fixes including going into the speaker and microphone settings hasn't helped. Reinstalling and updating the drivers also did nothing. Please help ;-;

This is a pretty common problem, check if "listen to this device" is enabled. There is a setting in software and also in the drivers to basically play back the system audio through the headphones.
