[SOLVED] Test PSU

How can I test wether or not a PSU is broken without putting it into my System? I just bought one that came with a 24 pin mobo slot dummy that you could use to turn on the PSU. Sadly that PSU was actually faulty and it ended up sparking.

The next PSU I wanted to try is the Corsair RM750x.
